AlertaRio - Real-time Weather and Rain Alerts for Rio de Janeiro
AlertaRio, developed by the Prefeitura da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro, is a free lifestyle app that provides real-time weather and rain alerts for the city. With this app, you can stay informed about the rain conditions in the city and the probability of landslides in the four hydrographic basins that make up the municipality. The app also allows you to view variables such as rain, humidity, and temperature, which are measured by weather stations in Rio de Janeiro.
The app provides daily updates of detailed and extended weather forecasts for the next 24 hours and the next four days, allowing you to plan your day and week better. You can also keep up with the weather conditions for your current location, as the app uses georeferenced information to display temperature data, thermal sensation, and other variables closest to you. In addition, the app offers a map with data from pluviometric stations and meteorological stations in real-time, as well as other layers of information, such as the Radar do Sumaré. With AlertaRio, you can also check the sunrise and sunset times and the current moon phase.
Note that the current version of the app is not collaborative.
